The Portwest EV4 EV401 Hi-Vis Expedition Parka Jacket is built for the coldest outdoor shifts. It is certified to EN 342 for protection against cold up to -50°C, and the stretch waterproof shell keeps rain, snow and wind out. Sizes M upwards meet EN ISO 20471 Class 3, and size S meets Class 2. It suits outdoor work in extreme cold and wet weather.

Key features

  • Cold protection to -50°C: certified to EN 342, with an Insulatex Pro lining and high loft down-like fill that add warmth without unnecessary weight.
  • Waterproof: EN 343 Class 4:1 X with 20,000 mm water penetration resistance, plus taped seams and waterproof zips.
  • Hi-vis Class 3 from size M: certified to EN ISO 20471 Class 3 for size M upwards and Class 2 for size S, with heat applied segmented reflective tape. The orange version also meets RIS 3279 TOM Issue 2.
  • Snow skirt and internal braces: the snow skirt seals out rain, snow and wind around the hips to keep inner layers dry.
  • Vision hood: removable, adjustable and helmet compatible, with clear panels to increase peripheral vision.

Sealed against the weather. A double storm flap with a rain channel covers the two-way front zip, and a chin guard adds protection at the neck. Inner storm cuffs with adjustable touch tape and internal wind cuffs keep draughts out of the sleeves. A longer back length and dropped back hem give extra coverage, and the drawcord hem adjusts for a closer fit.

Room to move. The stretch fabric and active fit give you freedom of movement, and laser cut holes let heat out. An extremely water resistant, eco-conscious finish makes water bead away from the surface.

Plenty of storage. Zipped chest pockets, handwarmer pockets, patch storm pockets with hook and loop fastening, two side pockets and internal pockets keep your kit secure. Easy grip pullers are fitted to all zips.

Part of EV4. EV401 belongs to Portwest's EV4 collection of technical workwear, made for tough working conditions and extreme weather. Choose Orange/Black or Yellow/Black, in sizes S to XXXL.
