The Portwest A648 CS Cut D21 Nitrile Glove is a cut resistant work glove with a Level D cut rating and a fine 21 gauge liner. It is for jobs where you handle sharp materials but still need to feel what you are doing, such as warehouse work, assembly line maintenance, construction and engineering. The nitrile foam coating grips in wet and dry conditions.
Key features
- Level D cut: rated 3X42D to EN 388, with a reinforced thumb crotch for extra protection in a high-wear area.
- Thin, strong liner: the 21 gauge knitted liner is thin, light and strong, for comfort and dexterity.
- Grip in wet or dry: the nitrile foam coating grips well and resists abrasion.
- Touchscreen compatible: use most mobile touchscreen devices without taking the gloves off.
- Contact heat: protection against contact heat up to 100°C, rated EN 407 X1XXXX.
What 3X42D means. EN 388 rates the palm of the glove on abrasion (3 out of 4), coupe blade cut (X), tear (4 out of 4), puncture (2 out of 4) and straight blade cut (D on a scale of A to F). An X in place of a number means no rating is given for that test. The TDM straight blade test, shown by the letter, is the reference result for cut.
Know the limits. No glove gives full protection, so take care with sharp edges. These gloves give limited protection against burns from hot surfaces and should not touch a naked flame. They will not prevent crushing injuries. With tear resistance at level 4, they are not recommended where they could get caught in moving machinery.
Washable up to 3 times. A648 is certified to EN 388 after 3 washes. It is dermatologically approved and rated Dexterity 5 under EN ISO 21420.
Colours and sizes. A648 comes in Grey/Black, in sizes XS, S, M, L, XL and XXL.
