The Portwest EP11 Easy Fit PU Ear Plugs Banded (2 Pairs) are push and twist foam ear plugs on a band, rated SNR 32 dB. Wear the band under the chin or over the head, with the same protection level either way. They suit anyone working in noise who wants plugs that go in quickly without rolling, and each unit comes with a spare pair of pods.

What SNR 32 dB means. SNR stands for Single Number Rating. Ear plugs should be worn at all times in noise above 80 dB and chosen by their attenuation against the noise you need to reduce. EP11 is tested to EN 352-2 and is CE certified as Category III PPE.
How to fit them. Pull your ear back with the opposite hand to ease insertion, then push the pod into the ear until the noise drops. Never take them out by pulling on the band. Do not use them where the band could get caught, and note that striking the band can cause harmful noise levels.
When to change the pods. Replace the pods after one working shift of 8 hours, or sooner if they get dirty. Remove the used pods from the band and push the new ones on with a twist. One spare pair is supplied and no further replacements are available. The band stays effective for 1 year from first use.
