The Portwest FC39 Steel Nubuck Ankle Boot is an S3 safety boot with a twist action wire lace system, so you can tighten it and release it quickly. It has a steel toecap, a pierce resistant steel midsole and a full grain nubuck upper. It suits work where you want a secure fit and a boot that keeps out dirt and debris.

About the wire lace system. The wire is double strength for durability. The dial has a raised texture for better grip and a rubberised chassis to resist abrasion, and a push/pull clasp releases it quickly. Central cavities spread the tension across the top of the foot for a level fit.
Built to last. The full grain nubuck upper is backed by a double sewn counter and a protective scuff cap. The angled top line gives a better fit and lets the leg flex, and the boot is anti-static.
What S3 means. Under EN ISO 20345:2022, S3 footwear has a closed heel area, energy absorption in the seat region, anti-static properties and resistance to water penetration and absorption. It adds perforation resistance and a cleated outsole. Plain S3, without an L or S, means a metal insert (type P).
Colours and sizes. FC39 comes in Black and Wheat, both in UK sizes 3 to 13 (EU 36 to 48), including UK 6.5 and 10.5.

Clean regularly with a good proprietary cleaning product, never a caustic one. Let wet boots dry naturally somewhere cool and dry; do not force dry. Check the stitching, tread and sole bond before use, and replace the boots if they are damaged or the toe has taken a heavy impact.
