The Portwest PT01 Sporty Shield Safety Glasses have a single panoramic lens with a blue mirror finish on a light, sporty frame. They are made for the site, the workshop and time outdoors, and they are certified to EN ISO 16321:2022 for impact protection. Coatings on the lens help keep your view clear through the day.
Key features
- Clear view: a single panoramic toric lens gives clear vision with smooth transitions at all distances.
- Three lens coatings: anti-fog and anti-scratch coatings, plus a hydrophobic coating that repels liquids to stop streaks.
- Comfortable fit: a soft TPR nose piece gives a universal fit and the flexible arms sit comfortably.
- Easy to clean: the nose piece detaches so you can clean it properly.
- UV protection: the polycarbonate lens helps prevent eye damage from the sun's ultraviolet rays.
What the impact rating covers. EN ISO 16321 eye protectors are designed to protect the wearer from impacts to the eyes. The glasses fit head form 1-M. They give no protection against infrared radiation, so do not use them as your main protection for welding or pouring molten metal. They are not for workplaces with hazardous UV levels either.
Over glasses and on the road. Portwest recommends not wearing them over prescription glasses, because an impact can pass through to the glasses underneath. They are not designed for driving.
Look after the lens. Check the glasses for scratches, pits or other damage before use, as damage can reduce the impact protection. Replace them if you find any, as there are no spare parts. Their maximum service life is two years.
Colours and sizes. PT01 comes with a Blue Mirror lens, one size.
